Infield

Infield training is an essential component of player development, catering to baseball players of all ages. At our facility, we prioritize infield instruction with our expert lead instructor, Justin Gominsky, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help players excel in this crucial aspect of the game.

During our infield lessons, Justin emphasizes four key areas that are fundamental to infield play:

  • 1. Footwork: Proper footwork is essential for infielders to position themselves quickly and effectively. Justin focuses on teaching the right footwork techniques to improve players' agility, reaction time, and ability to field the ball efficiently.
  • 2. Posture: Maintaining the correct posture is vital for infielders to stay balanced and ready for any play. Justin provides guidance on achieving and maintaining proper posture, enabling players to be in the best position to field ground balls and make accurate throws.
  • 3. Proper Arm-Slot: Infielders need to have the correct arm-slot to ensure efficient and accurate throws. Justin works closely with players to develop the proper arm action, helping them maximize their throwing power and accuracy.
  • 4. Throwing (while making athletic movements): Infielders must be able to make accurate throws from various positions and angles. Justin incorporates drills and exercises that simulate game-like situations, allowing players to practice making throws while on the move or executing athletic movements.

Through focused infield training, our aim is to enhance players' skills, technique, and confidence in the infield. Justin's expertise and personalized instruction provide invaluable guidance to help players develop their footwork, posture, arm-slot, and throwing abilities, ultimately making them more effective and successful infielders.
