Justin Gominsky brings an impressive playing background and a wealth of experience to his role as owner and baseball coach for the Minnesota Icemen. Having excelled at various levels of the game, Justin’s expertise and knowledge contribute significantly to the team’s success.

Starting his journey at Mahtomedi High School, Justin showcased his talent as a two-sport standout in baseball and football. His exceptional performance led to multiple NCAA Division 1 scholarship offers in both sports. As an all-state selection in baseball and football, Justin was recognized for his skills and chosen to participate in prestigious all-star games.

Continuing his baseball career at the University of Minnesota, Justin made an immediate impact as a freshman, displaying impressive offensive and defensive abilities. His remarkable achievements led to various accolades, including being named to All-American teams and the Big Ten all-freshman team.

Justin’s professional career took off when he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 11th round of the MLB Draft in 2011. He thrived in the Astros’ organization, earning recognition as a New York Penn League All-Star and receiving the Minor League Defensive Player of the Year award in 2012. Throughout his time with the Astros, Justin had the opportunity to play alongside notable players such as Carlos Correa, George Springer, Jose Altuve, Josh Hader and many others.

With over 20 years of club baseball experience and a remarkable playing career behind him, Justin brings a deep understanding of the game and a passion for developing players to the Minnesota Icemen. His exceptional skills, dedication, and connection to the sport make him an invaluable asset to the team
