Marcus hails from St. Michael, Minnesota, where he demonstrated his athletic prowess by excelling in baseball, basketball, and football at the varsity level. Seeking to continue his athletic and academic journey, he chose to attend Bethel University in Arden Hills, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biokinetics and Pre-Chiropractic while playing baseball for the Royals.
At Bethel, Marcus showcases his versatility by playing both infield and pitching roles for the Royals’ baseball team. His exceptional defensive skills were recognized during his freshman year when he received the prestigious All-MIAC defensive player award as a shortstop. Currently in his junior year at Bethel, Marcus continues to make significant contributions to the team’s success.
Marcus’s commitment to the development of young athletes extends beyond his college experience. He serves as a Station Leader for MN Twins Youth Summer camps, where he imparts his knowledge and passion for the game to aspiring baseball players.
Marcus’s involvement in coaching extends to the Icemen program, where he joined as a coach in his first year. This fall, he eagerly contributes to the development of multiple teams, lending his expertise in various aspects of the game during practices and games.
As Marcus continues to progress in his coaching career and pursue his academic goals, his presence within the Icemen program will undoubtedly have a lasting and positive impact on the players’ development and overall success.
