Kale Rhame brings a diverse background and a passion for athletics to the Icemen coaching staff. Joining the team in the summer of 2023, Kale’s journey in sports began in Chapin, South Carolina, where he excelled in baseball, football, and basketball during his high school years. As a standout wide receiver, Kale achieved recognition by becoming a top 10 receiver in receptions in football and earning three All-Region and two All-State honors.

In baseball, he showcased his skills as a first baseman, earning two All-Region and one All-State selection. Continuing his athletic pursuits at the collegiate level, Kale played both football and baseball at Charleston Southern University before transferring to Belmont Abbey College. In his senior season at Belmont Abbey, he posted an impressive batting average of .343, contributing to the team’s division two southeast regional tournament bid.

Following his undergraduate studies, Kale embarked on a master’s degree in Exercise Science at Liberty University. During this time, he completed a year-long internship with the University of South Carolina Olympic sports Strength and Conditioning program. Working with various sports teams, including baseball, swimming, cross country, and equestrian, Kale designed and implemented training programs. Notably, he contributed to the development of the 2022 SEC Indoor Mile champion and the three-time Turkish 800m champion.

With the Icemen, Kale assumes the role of coaching the 16u team while also overseeing the players’ strength and conditioning training. His dedication to teamwork and building relationships aligns with his love for being a part of a team.

Kale’s diverse athletic experiences, coupled with his academic background in Exercise Science, equip him with valuable knowledge and skills to help young athletes in their development. His commitment to fostering a positive team environment and forging meaningful connections with players makes him a valuable addition to the Icemen coaching staff.
