Mission Statement

About The Icemen

The Minnesota Icemen Baseball Club was founded in 2014 by current and former collegiate and professional baseball players, who decided to create a community within the baseball world. This community allows young baseball players to learn from experienced, professional coaches who will help them achieve their goals. We have been where you want to go, at all levels of baseball.

Club Teams

The Minnesota Icemen offer 4 different seasons of teams for various age groups 12u-18u. It is not the Icemen’s goal or model to take players away from their respective youth association or traveling teams, high school, VFW or American Legion teams. These teams that are put together in the 4 seasons have been intentionally put together and intentionally thought through to best serve our players to help them be the best players that THEY want to be.

The Icemen offer Fall elite teams 12u-18u. Most, if not all of the fall games will be local and played on the weekends. The average team will play about 16+ games combined of an elite fall league comprised of other top clubs in Minnesota as well as two local tournaments. The Fall season will run between the middle of August and the Middle of October. Each Icemen team will practice at least once – twice per week with a focus on skill development. Many Icemen players play multiple sports and the schedules usually allow players to still do both.

As a separate season from the fall, the Icemen will put together Winter teams 14u-18u. The Icemen will play one tournament in January against other clubs from all over North America in the Phoenix area over MLK weekend in an invite only tournament ran by the organization “Perfect Game.” The Icemen will also play in another national tournament in Las Vegas over Presidents’ Day weekend in February. The Icemen winter teams will practice at least once per week indoors at the National Sports Center in Blaine as well as at Kelly’s Cages in Hugo. Similar to the fall, many players who compete with the Icemen in the winter also play another winter sport or train with the Icemen’s training partner, Tier 1 Performance.

The Icemen will have Spring teams 12u-14u as a “warm-up” to association AAA teams that play in the spring and summer. The Icemen will compete in two tournaments within the Spring season typically in late March/early April as well as mid to late April. The Icemen will practice 1-2 times per week during the spring season.

The Icemen 15u-17u will compete in two national recruiting based tournaments over the summer. The tournaments will be in late June and July. These tournaments give our kids a great opportunity to gain exposure with college recruiting and professional scouting. These teams will practice 1-2 times before each tournament.
