Scott Airey brings a very important element and dynamic to an already powerful Icemen Coaching staff. As a Kinesiology major in college and having extensive experience working with high-level athletes with sports training, Scott is a master at helping baseball players maximize their abilities by learning how to best utilize their bodies.
As a highly touted pitcher himself growing up in Canada, Scott drew major college interest from the United States. After signing with national perennial power De Moines Area Community College (DMACC), Scott went on to then sign a Division 1 Scholarship with the University of Northern Iowa as a right handed pitcher. Scott, a pitcher who could touch 92 MPH on the radar gun found a passion in sports training and studying the human body in sport which has now led him to working with the Icemen. Scott has already been insurmountable to the Icemen especially from the pitching side, working with numerous Icemen pitchers in helping them: increase velocity, maximize body control especially in the lower half, teach and instruct about proper arm care while not only strengthening but preventing injury, and increasing flexibility. Scott is a huge part of the Minnesota Icemen and the Icemen are very fortunate to have Scott apart of the program.
